We really need a babysitter to call upon from time to time instead of relying on my in-laws. Can anyone recommend a St. Matthew member? We would like someone age 16 or older, as our boys are 2.5 and 6 and we sometimes need someone to watch them all day on the days I go into the office.
Specifically, I am in need of someone for this coming Monday, June 16, from approximately 8:30 a.m. to no later than 4:00 p.m. We live in Wixom. Actually, this Monday it would only be sitting for our 2.5 year old, since our elder child is up north with his Grandparents this week. :) Hubby Mike and I would like to just have an informal meeting with any candidates this weekend.

If I were you I would call the church office and ask to speak with the youth (department). When the youth group has watched our kids during church events, there are always a couple of girls that say that they babysit and would love to watch our kids. Our children are roughly the same ages as yours. I hope you find the perfect person!
Hearts and Hands
Terri, Have you tried Hearts and Hands? Your kids would be playing, learning and praying during the day and they do allow drop ins. Call them and see if that might be something to consider. Staff is awesome ! I should know i've had kids there since Nov 2001 and I'll be there til 2011 .. Hey Do I get an award for that ?

After spending a week at VBS, I now have a sheet full of potential babysitters, and I was able to see firsthand how each of them handle the kids. Wow, we have some very mature, well-mannered, Christ-centered kids at St. Matt's!
