This book discussion group began in the Spring of 2003 as a group just for women. About half-way through the second year we opened the group up to both men and women, still under the umbrella of the Women's Ministry. This group is open to St. Matthew members, friends of St. Matthew members, and visitors of St. Matthew’s Church.
Our book selections are a “mixed bag” of fiction and non-fiction. Some are classics, some best-sellers, some controversial, some funny and others down right quirky! They all make for interesting discussions!
There are no dues for this group. We meet ten times a year - generally opting to not have book club during the busy times of Christmas & Easter. Usually we meet the 3rd Friday of the month, with various participants offering to host that month's discussion at their home. You are not required to host and you don’t have to come to every discussion to be in the group - just come to the ones that interest you!
