Starbucks, anyone?
As I've become more connected to this area, I've discovered my "second community" as Starbucks--14 Mile and Decker. As my face became more familiar, it became much easier to engage employees in conversation. It's great to be able to have meaningful discussion with people beyond, "Hi! How are you? I'll have a triple grande mocha."
Frequent a place (to the point of being made fun of...), and you'll begin to develop a sense of community.

You guys have done a great job "infiltrating" that shop. I'm sure that God has a purpose in it.
